Tai Thong Cake Shop is renowned for our signature Cantonese-style pastries, handmade daily in small batches without the use of preservatives. While our confections are enjoyed nowadays as a simple treat, several of our products are of ancient origins and profound cultural significance. For instance, the Lotus Seed Paste Bride's Cake (嫁女饼) was first described during the Three Kingdoms period more than 1700 years ago, and are presented by the groom to his bride's family as part of her dowry. Tai Thong Cake Shop continues to honour this age-old custom and specialises in the preparation of traditional Chinese wedding cakes.

During the annual Mid-Autumn Festival, Tai Thong Cake Shop’s mooncakes are one of the top choices among connoisseurs. Thanks to the authentic taste and fine texture of our hand-crafted creations, our mooncakes have regularly been featured in food columns in both local and international publications over the past decades. Our iconic packaging is also instantly recognisable by many Singaporeans: the box's iconic design - depicting a scene from the Chinese folklore of the Moon Fairy (嫦娥奔月) - has remained unchanged and in use since 1962.

A taste of tradition. A taste of nostalgia.
