Walnut Lotus Seed Paste 合桃莲蓉
An original creation from Tai Thong Cake Shop in the 1990s. The filling in our classic Lotus Seed Paste mooncake is enrobed in a crumbly buttery crust. Whole shelled walnuts, lightly toasted, lend their nutty flavour to the ensemble. Available in a plain Classic Lotus Seed Paste version, or with a salted egg yolk (pictured) for a subtle savoury hint. Both are suitable for ovo-lacto vegetarians. Sold in a box of six, or a box of nine. Subject to availability.
